Candler Art Gallery
Candler Art Gallery is more than a gallery, or even a store. Many have described it as an experience. With a calm and welcoming environment, the gallery is designed to feed the senses.
Here, you can ignite your curiosity, feed your wonderment, and celebrate creativity.
Art represents the human spirit and documents the evolution of society. It is our privilege to extend to you the work of the artists of the world.
The top floor is the gallery of original artwork, as well as handcrafted pottery, all made by western Canadian artists. The gallery is free and open to the public.
Located at the back of the gallery is a custom framing department. From delicate lacework and cross stitch to violins and ballet shoes, Candler Art Gallery will help you frame anything.
A Little History
The Candler Art Gallery started in the old egg candling station originally located north of Charlie Killam school on 46 Street. In 1986, the Candler Art Gallery moved to its present location and became known as the landmark first general store of Camrose. In 2005, with the support of the Main Street Program, the Candler Art Gallery recieved the look it has today as a bright, red, distinctive building.
