Camrose Nature Conservation Centre
This conservation area is a beautiful day-use area with excellent bird watching and space to enjoy the lake.
The Nature Conservation Centre is a beautiful day use area in the southeast corner of Camrose County. This is a great place to watch birds, go for a walk, canoe, or even scuba dive. The pond is stocked with rainbow trout and a busy place for fisherman in the summer and winter.Â
In the summer of 2010, Camrose County completed the reclamation of the Blatz Gravel Pit. In addition to reclaiming a decommissioned gravel pit, Camrose County has been innovative by incorporating numerous amenities to provide wildlife habitat and a community attraction.
There is a playground, picnic area, gazebo, fire pits, picnic tables, nature trails, gravel pathes, a pedestrian bridge, benches, observational deck, scuba diving assembly area, non-motorized boating, dock, boat launch, fishing, and washroom facilities.
