Coal Creek Golf Resort

The current site of Coal Creek Golf Resort has had coal mining activity since the turn of the 19th century operated as Dodds Coal Mining Company.  This activity left “scars” from the early mining practices and  no legislation existed for the reclamation of coal mining.  The overburden was simply removed and piled up.  The result of this practice provides the unique landscape for holes 6,8,9,12,& 13, which play in and around these “scars”.  All of the bodies of water that come into play on these holes are the original coal pits.  The bunkers are filled with copper slag from an old mine in Grand Forks, B.C., it is completely inert and has excellent playability.    You are truly playing through coal mining history.

Our clubhouse and kitchen are stocked and ready for the golf season.  For Tournament Bookings, Season Passes or Golf Related Items please contact Jamie, our Head Golf Professional at (780) 663-2473.
